Terms & Conditions
Thank you for choosing Spark Alternative Learning for your child's education. Please review the following terms and conditions regarding our policies, payments, and class procedures for both online and in-person classes.
Payment
- Payment for classes is required quarterly and must be settled within 7 days of receiving the invoice. Attendance in classes may be restricted if payment is not received by the 10th day.
- 6-month advanced payments receive a 10% discount.
- 12-month advanced payments receive a 15% discount.
- No refunds will be issued for missed classes or withdrawals.
Class Attendance & Make-Up Sessions
- Students are allowed a maximum of two make-up classes per month. Make-up sessions must be completed within 30 days of the missed class.
- Eight (8) hour advance notification during business hours is required to be eligible for a make-up session. (Notification times: 8AM-6PM Monday through Saturday)
- For online classes, students arriving later than 10 minutes will not be permitted to enter without advanced notice.
- In the case of online private classes, the teacher will wait for 15 minutes. If the student does not show up, the class will not be eligible for a make-up session.
- A minimum commitment of 3 hours per week or 3 online sessions per week is required.
- Spark is not accountable for informing you of your class schedule or if your child is absent from class.
School Policies
- Spark is designated as a "no sugar" school. This means that sugar-based snacks are not allowed in the classroom. We strongly recommend refraining from giving your child any sugar or caffeine 90 minutes before class starts. Students who have sugar-based snacks will be given back their snacks after class, and they will not be allowed to consume them during the lesson. Research has shown that sugar and caffeine have a significant impact on lessons and student performance. Therefore, in order to enhance your child's educational experience, we enforce this policy at the center.
- Group classes will not exceed 6 students.
- Private classes are offered based on teacher evaluation and only when required. Private students are required to merge into a group class at the teacher's discretion.
Communications
Parent Responsibilities
- Parents are responsible for ensuring their child can access the Dojo portal for Spark assigned homework.
- Communication regarding schedules, payments, and administrative matters should be coordinated through Sabrina Du or Kieu Nguyen. (Email: sparkalcvn@gmail.com | Tel: 0398143487)
Contact Points
- Teachers will communicate with parents directly on the ClassDojo platform.
- The Spark Administrative staff will contact parents through Viber, WhatsApp, or Zalo.
Discounts
Referrals
- Families are eligible for a one-time 10% referral discount applied to the first month enrollment fee for any new student that enrolls in a quarterly program. There is no cap on the number of referrals.
Additional Fees
- Materials fees are not included in class rates and will be billed to the student at cost.
- Siblings are eligible for a 5% discount on class fees.
